Meier Agricultural and Garden Technology invests in new oil production plant
Founded in 1909 as a blacksmith’s shop and today active as a modern, family-run company in the fields of agricultural and gardening technology, we at GRANIT are reminded of of our own career by Meier Land- und Gartentechnik GmbH & Co. KG from Delbrück-Ostenland in North Rhine-Westphalia. The GRANIT partner company is active in the sale and service of agricultural machinery and gardening technology in a region that is characterised by a wide variety of agricultural activities, from arable farming to horse farms to biogas plants.
In order to meet the demands of local farmers and gardeners and landscapers, the family business has never shied away from major changes. Even the demolition of the original buildings, including the forge and office building, is not a problem for the Deutz-Fahr dealer 2012. Today, the company has access to spacious and modern halls with workshop, storage, exhibition and office space. After the conversion, Andreas Meier took over the management of the company in 2015 from his parents Karl-Heinz and Maria Meier, who still actively contribute their many years of expertise to the business today. This means that the company is now in its fourth generation of management.
We are pleased that the 16-man company decided in favor of GRANIT as a partner years ago. With our wide range of products and 16 main catalogues, we are always at the side of Meier Land- und Gartentechnik. Of course, the good relationship between the company and the GRANIT sales force is also a guarantee for good cooperation. This has already enabled us to implement major projects together.
Most recently, after intensive consultation with the GRANIT team, Meier Land- und Gartentechnik commissioned an oil production system from Horn Tecalemit in the workshop. Following a thorough examination of the technical requirements, a 5,000 litre oil production system with five tanks and five fuel dispensers was installed. Since then, the desired oil quantities can be pumped directly from the tanker truck into the waiting tanks and removed in the agricultural engineering workshop. We are pleased that we could contribute to further improve the work processes in the workshop of Meier and wish further success and many satisfied customers in the workshop.
